Excited MiMi

This was an okay outfit - I think a red or pink tee underneath would have looked nice with this. I liked running the stripes done and then adding the polka dot scarf. Yesterday was indeed a better day, my grandson was born at 4:12 pm and weighed 9 lbs and 3 oz. The only bad part is that he was too big for my daughter and his shoulder got stuck - doing alot of damage to her but both mom and baby are doing fine. I think he is the most precious thing and I can't wait to share him with you tomorrow. The weather is gorgeous (while I'm working) right? How is your week going so far?

Perfect Matchey Matchey

This is the shrug that I got for my Easter outfit and it matches this Walmart blouse PERFECTLY - I really loved the way this outfit turned out paired with the Ross Calvin Klein skirt that I ADORE. Today my daughter is checking in the hospital for her induction and little Baby Jaxen should be here. I had an okay weekend. Never left the house on Saturday - rain, rain, and more rain. Sunday I went to church and watched a wonderful play then came home to the devil. Not sure what Mr. Man's problem was but he threw my shampoo away because he is tired of not having space as I have all four corners taken up with my products. This has been my system for 7 years and not once during that time has he EVER stated he would like it any differently. So just to throw my new shampoo bottles in the trash - I find that disrespectful and it sent me the message that I was unimportant. He then informed me what he did was not all that bad and that somewhere down the line I had thrown things away of his - I am just totally confused by his behavior. I am also extremely MAD about this. I retrieved my shampoo bottles from the trash and now have all of my products in the linen closet and will take out to use and return when finished. You know, all he would have had to have done was said he wanted space - I would have gladly moved - but in 7 years - not a peep - I mean not ONE peep or complaint. Anyone ever dealt with something similar? I am extremely baffled -

Love This Dress

I love this dress that I found at JCP. I love the colors and I love the way it fits. The flair skirt is very flattering to my body type and I feel soooo pretty when I wear it. Not to mention, how much I love these shoes :) Hope you have a wonderful weekend!! Mr Man's b-day today so off from work and spending the day together. Hopefully we won't kill each other LOL

Lost Shape

Today is my last day of the work week. Tomorrow is Mr Man's birthday, so I took the day off to spend a leisure day with him. Not sure what all we are going to do but I hope to make his day as special as he did mine. Still no appearance from the grandboy - so Monday is induction day. I was going to take that day off but my daughter wanted to me to wait to come to the hospital until after she called me. Strange request but I will honor her wishes. The blouse below lost it's shape after the first washing so I put a little tank top underneath. I think that hot pink and orange look amazing together. I would have never thought to pair them up!! The weather has taken on a cold spell and I am not pleased. What are your plans for the weekend?

Ferret Adventures Part II

Yesterday was a pretty good day for a Monday. It was hectic when I got off work - Mr Man and I had to do some ferret supply shopping. I got a different litter for him and to my horror he did not use the litter but my floor when we had him out for play. I hope that does not become a habit. The ferret actually licked me last night, I thought it was sweet. He did manage to get out of his collar so we had to scruff him again to put it on. Hoping your week is going good so far. Going to try to hurry home today to get him to the vet - there is so much I do not know about ferrets.



Comfort Zone

The weekend turned out very nice. I went Saturday to a baby shower. The mom-to-be is someone that I have not seen since 8th grade and reunited on Facebook. It was a joy to be invited - I was very much out of my comfort zone as I only knew the mom and her mother and we haven't seen each other in years. She is still just as sweet as the day I remember her and after awhile I was able to converse with some of the other women. I did some people watching and found it intriguing to watch how we women interact with one another. I have also come to the conclusion that regardless of the social status, we all seem to think along the same lines. Of course, there are varying levels of morals and backgrounds but in that type of setting - we were all equal - refreshing.

Speaking of getting out my comfort zone, I was a greeter yesterday at church AND I wrote a second article for the church newsletter. You know what, I am feeling pretty good about it too. My brother's GF also gave me a lead to Online Teaching jobs through the Babbs company - only $7 a month and I have already gotten a bunch of e-mails. Wish me luck. How was your weekend? Ferret Adventures

It has been a pretty good week of good weather and now it has come to an end :( Cooler weather today but slowly going to get nice again. I am enjoying the new distraction of the ferret. He will bite though and me no likey that but I am researching and we need to get him to the vet to get checked out but I think he does like us and his new home. He actually got in his hammock to take a nap :) We do need to get him socialized with the dogs so we can let him out more often - according to the research I have done he needs to be out at least 2 - 4 hours - he is only averaging about an hour with us during the week because we have to put the dogs outside right now when we get him out. We also need to get him a nicer and bigger cage, they are quite pricey. I am excited to go to a baby shower tomorrow for an old middle school friend that I haven't seen since 8th grade. I can't wait to see her again. I need to get my butt in gear and get a gift. Sunday should be nice enough to hit the Greenway after church. What are your plans this weekend?

Daylight Savings Energy

I love, love this blouse that I scored at Ross's many, many years ago. The colors are so me and the length feels slimming and flattering, which makes it all that more appealing to me. Those pants I got at Cato and I do NOT feel slim and flattering in them but this blouse is long enough to cover the zone I believe to be  an opportunity for improvement. My friend, Cindy, pointed out to me that I do, in fact, have discipline and will power that I demonstrated during Lent regarding Facebook. So, then why, have I not been able to keep my resolve to lose this extra weight? I am beginning to think that I do not really believe that I need to lose weight. I am pretty content with my current clothes and I do not feel hideous when I view my pictures. Soooo, while I may not look hideous, I am going to channel that will power and strengthen my resolve to lose this extra weight. I mean 30 -40 lbs is all I'm asking to lose....

Something else I have noticed lately is that my house is staying alot cleaner. For instance, now after dinner I clean the dishes up immediately; however, in the winter time I would let them sit until right before I went to bed. I seem have more energy with Daylight Savings. During the winter, I really just wanted to come home and go to bed and the nights seem to go so quickly. Now, I seem to have extra time to get more done - it's the same amount of time. Of course, there is one other factor, I'm not in school, so perhaps, I am just now rested up without having to spend so much time on school work and then that long night on Tuesday's.

Prayers for Boston

I am sending many prayers to Boston, what is this world coming to? The people cannot even compete in a sporting event and blown up? Terrible, terrible act that I cannot even fathom the thought process of the responsible party. There must be something on my lens as there is strange flick on the picture below. This outfit is really not that great, I should have put a scarf with it or something to give more umph - kinda boring. Only cute about this picture is Heathen's head sticking up :)

Too Matchy

This scarf was way too matchy for this blouse. I thought it would look good together but after wearing it all day and seeing the picture, I should have put something with a little more pop of color. I do like those pants with it though. Had a pretty good weekend - Friday was a long day, after work helped my son with his camper and he now has lights and water :) My truck is loaded down with supplies to deliver to him this evening. He is a tad bit spoiled and sometimes a little ungrateful. My bother and his spouse came to visit and I really enjoyed having them. Mr Man made some lobster tails and we grilled some steaks and I made homemade banana pudding, which is almost gone - I think Mr Man liked it. The weather this weekend was gorgeous - still no baby. Jaxen is hanging in there to my daughter's disappointment. Saturday night Mr Man found a ferret in our backyard. He is going to call around to see about where to put him. The little thing has bit me twice not hard but still - me no likey :)

Broken Pants

This outfit was an okay outfit but the buttons had fallen off a long time ago on the pants so I was using the clasp to "button" them. In the middle of the day, the clasp broke and so I was walking around with unbuttoned pants - good thing the jacket covered it up. I sure wish I knew how to sew. The weather is supposed to be rainy and cooler today - I have loved the weather the past few days and even slept with the windows open a few nights ago..ahhhhh Came home from work yesterday and Mr Man had mowed the yard - I love the smell of freshly cut grass, not to mention how pretty it looks when I pull up. I really like the way a freshly cut lawn looks. Today working half day and help my son move into a camp ground - I am trying desperately to get him to stand on his own feet. My daughter is trying her best to will the birth of Jaxen but he isn't ready yet. How is your week going so far?



This Week Smiles

This weeks smiles are baking my very first cupcakes and they turned out delicious, of course, they also make it VERY easy to do a drive by in the kitchen, not good for my waist. I was looking for something else to do with ripe bananas besides banana bread and I found this delicious recipe Banana Split Cupcakes. YUMMY!! (Mr Man approved as well)

I smile because the weather has been beautiful  and getting to display the first peep of freshly painted toes...I also LOVE these shoes!!

I smile at my walking group from work - I am sooo happy to resume our afternoon walks, we share laughs, concerns, and I smile to feel part of them :)

This makes me smile because it is very true...

Too Cool

This is an older picture and by no means a reflection of the current weather :) I want you to know that I thought I was too cool in this outfit. I put this gold blouse with that fabulous little jacket with the cool clear buttons and paired it with those cords. The last time I wore this little jacket I put a red blouse underneath and wanted to do something a little different and I was quite pleased with the gold (not to mention that is one of my favorite colors) and that necklace I found at Target matched the buttons on the jacket to a tee :) So yep, I was too cool.... The weather is so glorious, I am absolutely loving having my windows open and getting to walk with my office walkers. How is your week so far, what has been the coolest outfit for you lately?

Old Man Winter - MIA :)

I think that Old Man Winter has left the building...Tn was absolutely gorgeous this weekend. I got to go to the Greenway on Saturday and made my very first cupcakes, banana split cupcakes. I'll share the pic and recipe on Wednesday Smiles. Sunday I went to church and read sitting in the sun. I chose not to go to the Greenway again on Sunday but just hung out at the house. All weekend I had the windows open and I LOVED it!! Washed my rugs on Saturday and comforter and hung them outside. Just can't beat the smell of things dried outside!! My daughter had a false alarm on Sunday and she is SOOO ready for this to be over - she told me she has officially given him an eviction notice (she is sooo funny). Another work week ahead, getting to wear short sleeves in the first part but looks like rain moving in and calling for a cooler weekend. Plenty of time for that to change..hoping it changes...

Spring Weekend



I am glad it's Friday, payday too :) AND the weather is calling for a beautiful weekend. I am hoping to get out on the Greenway Saturday and maybe do some fun reading outside in the sun, that sounds so heavenly to me. No grand baby yet but my daughter is VERY ready :) Nothing else really planned but opening windows and enjoying some rest I am hoping. Back to my financial rut - my cushion money is gone :( Have to figure out how to get it back and keep it. I wish this auto accident was settled already - you would not believe how unresponsive they are to me but they known Mr Man for years and he has no problem getting a return call, that irritates me to no end. I am still doing pretty good with my moods on the B6; however, I am really analyzing my relationship with Mr Man. I am starting to think that there are some things and people from the past that I cannot get over. Have you ever just decided one day that you could no longer have a relationship with someone that you never thought you could EVER think that way? I feel like I am going crazy. I'll just let the sun and God sort it out for me. Anything planned this weekend?

I really love the pairing of this blouse and the wool capris. I think they complimented one another perfectly.



In Position

So Baby Jaxen has dropped and is in position for birth, she is dilated 3 - doctor told her that it would be very surprising if she makes until May for birth. My daughter is both excited and nervous. I am getting excited as well. The weather was gorgeous again yesterday and I was able to get in a walk at work. I am still sore from my work out on Monday - I must have really done a good job :) Today's weather is going to be rainy and cool :(

I really like this blouse below - It is one of those outfits that makes you feel pretty. The colors are FAB and I have paired it with several things. My favorite is the pleated skirt but these black knit pants look pretty with it as well. We are almost to the weekend. This weekend is supposed to be beautiful - hoping to get on the Greenway :)

This Week Smiles

This weeks smiles are watching my daughter continue to decorate the nursery, my Easter Outfit, new cleaning product, and finally developed wedding picture of me and my daughter :)

The Nursery:

My Easter outfit - the dress and shoes were bought at Marshall's and I found the shrug at Sam's Club. The dress was a little snug around the thighs than I normally like, Mr Man even made a comment that the dress was tighter than I normally wear, but I decided to go with it anyways..

This stuff makes my bathroom smell clean and my bowl is very clean..It's the little things in life...For some reason I am really focused on the clutter and cleanliness of the house...
